Mr. Garth Janke

Mr. Janke has a broad background in mechanical and electrical engineering, and physics. He has a Master's Degree from the University of California at Davis and a law degree from Stanford University. He has over 10 years experience as a practicing engineer with the Hewlett Packard Company. He contributes annually to a West Publication, "Advising Small Businesses," in which he is the author of Chapters on Patent and Copyright law, and in which he expands and updates a Chapter on Trademark law. He also contributes to the Oregon State Bar publication "Advising Oregon Businesses."

Engineering Background

Garth was employed as an engineer for HP from 1980 to 1991, with responsibilities in manufacturing and design, including integrated circuit fabrication, process engineering, production engineering, materials engineering, and product engineering at HP's terminals division, ink-jet printhead operation, integrated circuit operation, and the cardiography business unit.
